Your Voice

Your Voice

At Sibford we believe in providing an opportunity to have the voice of students heard, understood and wherever possible responded to in a way that enhances our community. It is our aim to encourage active participation in the school community and to develop a stronger sense of social responsibility and respect for others demonstrating core Quaker values. To this end we have two main bodies of pupils that help to make decisions about school - The Sixth Form Management Team and the Student Forum.

The Sixth Form Management Team

The Head Boy, Tom Roger, and Head Girl, Alex Jardine lead the team team of Sixth Form students who help to organise events at school, such as the Halloween Disco, the Christmas Ball, and the Valentine Disco.

The Student Forum

Members of the Student Forum are elected on an annual basis by their peer group to attend meetings chaired by the Head Boy and Girl. At the regular meetings they discuss subjects such as food, discos, social events, charity events, eco schools events etc. The minutes of these meetings are circulated to the various representatives and all tutor groups. If a pupil has a particular concern they wish to bring to the attention of the Student Forum they should approach their representative.
