Charley Boorman, actor, adventurer, best selling author and ex Sibford School pupil visited us on Thursday 15th November 2009.

Charley, who is dyslexic, explained to a packed audience that he came to Sibford School because of its reputation for helping children who are dyslexic; he said he immediately felt comfortable here.

"Dyslexia isn't something that goes away, you always have it, but Sibford gave me the confidence to go out and do things".

There is no doubt that he has 'gone out and done things' and his many books are witness to that.

Charley Boorman is also recognized for his work with UNICEF and the charity Dyslexia Action.
