Jazz Concert - 24th May 2007

Below are a few images captured during the evening of music held in the Oliver Studio. The concert was very well attended and raised approximately £700 for the charity 'Peaceroots'. Sibford pupils from Year 7 to Year 13 thrilled the packed studio with wonderful renditions of well known classics such as Stevie Wonder's 'Superstition', the Eagles' 'Desperardo', Santana's 'Oyo Como Va'. Jazz classics included 'Mercy Mercy Mercy', 'Autumn Leaves' and Matt Platt's '3PM'. Original pieces written by the pupils were also part of the varied play list. 'Bach', played by the 'house band' (Ulysses Wells, Tom Daley, Henry Grigg, and Ed Coyte) proved so popular it was played again for the encore. Thank you to Matt Platt for organising the evening, and to all the musicians - it was wonderful.
