Notices for Parents

Please contact your child's Tutor if you have a concern. Tracy Knowles (Years 7 to 11), Mary Memarzia (Sixth Form) and Maggie Guy (Head of Boarding and Deputy Head) will listen to concerns if the matter cannot be resolved at this stage. The Head is available for his 'Parents' Surgery' on Tuesday evenings in term time from 4.15pm to 6pm. Please make an appointment via Lesley Woodward, his PA, on 01295 781208. We would rather know about a concern before it becomes a problem.

Please note that school has updated the Attendance Protocols in line with recent legislation. Parents are required to telephone the school by 10.00am if a child is not attending school.

The telephone call must then be followed by a communication in writing (not by telephone or email) for the following:

• Request permission from the Head for any planned absence, holiday or extended leave
• Immediately following unplanned absence, sending in a note explaining reasons for absence
• Any absence expected to last more than three days, with a doctor’s certificate for prolonged absence
• Parents of boarders who are away from home for an extended period or out of the country must inform the school, and supply the name of a guardian and emergency contacts if they are out of the country
