Drama Festival - Spring 2007
The Country Wife - directed by Trevor Walters
London, the middle of the Eighteenth Century. Morals are loose, and so are the women! Our hero, Master Horner, sets his eyes on Marjerie, innocent wife of the local grump, Horace Pinchwife. Only, didn't that trip to France involve a pair of surgical scissors and a snip that had put an end to Horner’s marital career? Furthermore, whose is the baggage locked in the cupboard, and why is Sir Jaspar so eager to offload his wife and daughter onto any available male?
This was
an evening of rampant farce, with an all star cast from staff and students.
