Code of Conduct
- School is the place you come to work; make sure you do your best.
- Never prevent other pupils from learning, instead try to help them.
- Listen to all members of staff (teachers, house staff, office staff, caterers, cleaners, grounds staff, maintenance staff, caretaker and drivers) so that the school can be a happy place for everyone.
- Listen to other pupils. Let them finish speaking before adding your own opinions to the discussion.
- Treat one another with politeness, courtesy and respect. Everyone is expected to act in a non-aggressive and non-threatening manner.
- Do not use language which is abusive, offensive or rude, shout, call out, interrupt or answer back.
- If you feel intimidated, say so. If you see someone intimidating someone else, tell an adult.
- Care for and look after the school, all equipment and the campus.
- Take care. Think about your own safety and that of others.
- Walk sensibly around the school and do not run inside school buildings.
- Wear the correct school uniform and keep both it and yourself neat, tidy and clean.
- Remember to take all the correct equipment to your lessons.
- Do not use forgetfulness as an excuse. Try to be organised.
- Be punctual to all lessons; if you arrive late, do not interrupt the lesson as you enter the room. Settle quickly and quietly to the task.
- Complete all prep. and hand it in on time.
- If you are not sure about something, ask a member of staff for help. If you have a problem, say so and ask for help to solve it.
- If you do something wrong, own up. This shows, self-respect, honesty and trustworthiness. We can then work together to put things right.
