Bad Weather Procedure
If there is snow, or weather which could cause the school to close, Michael Goodwin will leave a message on the main school answer phone by 7am. He will also endeavour to inform local radio stations and update this website's home page to inform of any school closure. It is likely that the school telephone will remain on answer phone unless staff can safely get to school. If there is a power failure the answer phone will not work. In bad weather conditions, the ultimate decision to travel lies with the parent. If you consider it inadvisable to travel, and that to do so would compromise your safety, please inform school in the normal way of any likely absentism or late arrival. If you bring pupils to school you must be prepared to collect them at the end of the day. School buses may not operate in bad weather conditions. Parents may contact the coach companies directly to ask if they are operating on any such day. If the buses do not run in the morning it is most likely that they will not run in the afternoon.
