Anna Jo Righton

I studied History and German at Exeter University and completed my PGCE at the St Luke's School of Education, also in Exeter. I joined the staff of Sibford School in September 1997 as Head of Humanities. I am an Assistant Examiner for paper 2, the source paper, of the OCR Modern World History GCSE course. I was appointed joint Director of Studies (Teaching and Learning) in September 2006; I am particularly interested in supporting the learning of our able, gifted and talented pupils in school and in the use of information technology and the Library to enrich the curriculum.

I was delighted to welcome Jez Ross to the department in September 2006.

Jez Ross

I read History at the University of Cambridge and, after a few years discovering that nothing quite matched my enjoyment of History, I did my PGCE at the School of Education, the University of Leicester. I joined Sibford School in September 2006. Teaching for me combines the love of my subject with the satisfaction of encouraging others to think independently.
